Supporting families with complex needs
The Early Help Keywork Service supports families with many or complex needs. These may include:
- the parent, carer or child’s mental health
- domestic abuse
- drug or alcohol misuse
- housing or homelessness
- poor school attendance
- parenting a child with special needs
- the loss of a loved one
A keyworker will build a relationship with the family and support them for 6 months. Together, they will create an action plan to help the family achieve long-term positive change.
How to refer a family
To refer a family for keywork support, you can either:
- register for the Children’s Portal and submit the form online
- download a paper form and email it to the Single Point of Advice team
If a child is at risk of immediate harm, phone 01323 464 222 before completing your referral.
