Understanding your baby - 0 to 5 months

Who

Parents and carers of babies aged 0 to 5 months

When

6 to 8 weeks, 2-hour session

Course

Meet other new parents and carers who understand the highs and lows of caring for a new baby. The course covers basic skills, including:

  • understanding baby’s feelings, relaxation and breathing
  • brain development, communication and crying
  • rhythms and sleep patterns
  • feeding – transition to solids
  • play and development

Time for me - post-natal support group

Who

Mums with a child under 12 months and post-natal depression or anxiety

When

6 weeks for 1 hour

Activity

A safe place to meet other mums experiencing post-natal depression and anxiety. Learn skills to help manage those feelings. Crèche spaces available.

Owlets SEN playgroup - 0 to 5 years

1st and 3rd Friday of the month in term time, 9.45am to 11.30am

Activity

Owlets is a sensory-friendly group for children with autism, or a speech or language delay. Your child does not need a diagnosis to attend.

Health, exercise and nutrition

HENRY - 0 to 5 years

Families with a child aged 0 to 5 years

9 weeks for 2.5 hours

Course

We can help you and your family to form good habits as part of a healthy lifestyle. If your child is a picky eater, come along to learn tips for hassle-free mealtimes.

A crèche is available. Week 1 is a 1 hour ‘settle and play’ for the crèche.

Work advice drop-in

When

2nd Thursday of the month, 9.30am to 12pm

Activity

Do you want to go back to work or change career? Come along to one of our drop-in sessions (no need to book).

You can talk to specialist advisors about:

  • moving into or out of work
  • childcare choices for working parents and how this works with Universal Credit
  • volunteering
  • training options
